Racheal Anilyse graduated from University of Hartford’s Hartford Art School Magna Cum Laude in 2006 with a Bachelor’s in Fine Art with concentration in Visual Communication Design and Illustration. She then went on to found Underground Art School, a digital magazine whose mission was to help young emerging artists navigate life after art school.

In 2011, Racheal passed away from complications due to her rare skin disease, Epidermolysis Bullosa. In life, she was an advocate for others living with this disease and even went on to pass legislation in the state of Connecticut to have proper wound care covered under insurance.

She was an inspiration to all that knew her, and her artwork speaks for itself.
